OK so I’ve drawn you in with a snappy, but possibly over the top title.  And what’s worse, now I have to deliver.

Well I spose it’s time to show you what I’ve been cooking up. It goes like this.

The Problem

Given the rapid increase in social-omg-that’s-hot-new-kid-on-the-block sites, it becomes increasingly hard to jump on the next bandwagon. You’re mid air only to realise that wagon is actually a rapidly expanding bubble (to mix my metaphors), ready to burst upon your landing. To make matters worse, the bubble is filled with a foul smelling liquid. Do you really want to get covered in a foul smelling liquid? I didn’t think so.

The Solution

This is where I step in, with the latest and greatest tool in social bookmarking. The marketeers have come up with a name, productX. They feel it has certain ‘cool’ connotations, and who am I to disagree. But I digress.

productX takes the worry out of keeping up with the flavour of the month. Time waits for no man, and neither does the bookmarking/aggregation scene.
productX takes care of all the aggregation of the aggregators, seamlessly adding in new icons to your blog. Thus when the newest digg slayer arrives, or bleeding edge tech site opens their details will magically appear, ready, willing and able to accept your blogging ‘gold’ at the click of a button.
No punches barred , no holds pulled (wait, that sounded different in my head), we have employed the latest technologies to bring this amazing service to fruition. AJAX has been used extensively for the front end, and PHJARUBYTHON® server side scripting has been utilised to give the best possible experience.

The execution

Your readers will never miss a beat courtesy of these eye catching icons, as demonstrated in this blog:

If you don’t think it’s eye popping enough you can choose some slightly larger icons, that are emphasised subtly, without detracting from the article:

So, with this unique tool set you can ride the wave, before it’s even a ripple.

These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.
  • Digg
  • del.icio.us
  • Facebook
  • Mixx
  • Google
  • DZone
  • Slashdot

I’d love to see a heatmap of those icons to see if anyone actually clicks on them. I have delicious and stumbleupon and nothing else.

Yeah, I must say I keep 7 I have so that I can feel like one of the ‘boys’. No one wants to an individual…not really.
